BAM 2010
The highpoint of this year's Gamescom in Cologne will be the presentation of the BAM! Awards. So far over 1.6 Million votes have been cast by the public for their favourite computer and video-games of past year. Games fans still have a chance to vote here BAM!  The winning games will be announced during the awards ceremony on the 20th August in the Gloria Theater in Cologne. The show will be hosted by Steve Blame and Katjuschka Altmann (Pro 7).

How to fail and get back up again, and how to deal with failure proactively will all be discussed in the panel »Shipwreck To Success« on 24 June, 2 – 3.30 pm at the C'n'B convention in Cologne. Moderated by Steve Blame, the panel will see speakers Holger In't Veld (Founder, In't Veld), Clark Parsons (Managing Director, Berlin School of Creative Leadership), and Patrick Wagner (CEO, Louisville Records) share their own stories and also look, in an entertaining way, at general psychological, structural and geographic elements of failure. Rose dÒr
Steve Blame has been invited to be part of the pre-selection Jury for this year's 50th Rose d'Or festival. The competition includes 11 categories and the best programmes are selected within two rounds of judging, the Preselection Jury is selecting the nominees and the Festival Jury is selecting the winners. The pre-selection will take place on the 28th and 29th of May in Lucerne. The 50th Rose d’Or Festival will take place from September 18th – 22nd 2010 in Lucerne, Switzerland.

The Final
After five weeks of Nach Realitychecks, amazing live performances in our Livechecks and nerve wracking shoot outs the top three bands fight it out in the final show. Each band will play live in the studio three times and have to show that they can play by any and every event possible. It's about entertainment. It's about quality It's about who will win the title of German's Best Partyband and earn the right to play live as support act to The Scorpions.

Show 4
Germany's Best Party Band continues this week (Tuesday 4th at 23:05) with the four remaining bands fighting to get into the final. The Reality Checks take place at a fashion show and at a home improvement fair. Neither location will be easy. The Live Checks take place in the studio where the bands cover today's hit songs from Robbie Williams, to Pink!, and Lady Gaga. But who will convince the jury with their performance?

Show 3 DBP
Germany's Best Partyband continues at a New Time! Tuesday 27th at 23:10 with German Hits. This week one set of Reality Checks take place in a thermal bath where the bands have to play only what the event organiser wants and also build an entertaining party game for the audience into their set. The other Reality Checks for the remaining bands will be at an Aprés-Ski event where they'll have to rock a party. In the studio the bands will have to play German Hits in the Livechecks - from Peter Fox to Nena. And the two bands whom the Jury consider to have performed the weakest will enter a shoot out where they'll have to play a lovesong to see who gets into the next round.

Second Show
DBP - Kabel 20:15 Sundays. Rock Classics are the theme this week. The remaining six bands must show what they are made of in their Reality Checks. There's no time to prepare but for three of the bands they'll have to play on stage at Munich's Olympiahalle. For 20 minutes the stage is theirs alone with 8,000 people in the audience. The other three bands have got a different challenge. They have to play at a bayerisches party - where the guests are of an advanced age and all they want to do is to swing their hips....slowly! It's going to be fun!

First Show

Sunday 20.15 Kabel 1. From over 1,000 bands who applied, the 15 most talented Partybands are left. Now they are playing against each other, from the old rockers from the North to the colourful Funky bands to the lederhosen wearing Bayern boys - every type of music are represented. The Jury decides, who goes and who goes into the next round. Whoever gets to the final gets the chance to play as the support act to the Scorpions and gets 10.000 Euros pocket money!

Deutschland's Beste PartyBand
Germany's best Party Band (Deutschlands beste Partyband) starts on Kabel 1, Sunday April 11th 20.15. Bands play both live in the studio and on location in a competition to find the best band in the land. The show promises good music by bands who are passionate about music. Steve Blame has just voted in the Brit Awards. The Brits will be 30 years old in 2010. And they'll be celebrating with a look back over the previous 30 years. One award has already been decided. Robbie Williams is to receive the 'Outstanding Contribution to Music' award. The rest of the awards will be revealed live on the night - 16th February 2010.

Format Sale
Steve Blame and Linda Ujuk have landed a format sale with Granada in Germany. This new team of Linda, AFI award-winning producer - who has developed and produced a variety of primetime television shows for Australian TV, and TV presenter, Screenwriter and successful format developer, Steve, compliment each other perfectly. "We are preparing a slate of paper formats for launch in 2010. This first successful option sale to Granada is the first step in what we hope will be a long and fruitful partnership".

Kabel 1, the Munich based private channel has announced that it has started filming a new production called “Deutschlands beste Partyband" (Germany's best partyband). In the jury are Anja Lukaseder, Steve Blame and Oliver Petszokat. No fixed broadcast date has yet been confirmed.

Promi Dinner
Steve Blame, alongside Ingrid Steeger, Anja Backhaus and Pit Weyrich appears on Das Perfekte Promi Dinner on german TV Channel VOX this Sunday 9th August. The show features the band the Silk Rabbits and also a man dressed as a duck LeBigDuck. Not to be missed. Steve says, "the show was spectacular. I knew I could never convince the Germans that the English can cook so I concentrate on a heavy does of entertainment".

Development funding projects from NRW Filmboard is featured is the latest Hollywood Reporter. Amongst them:  'The life of former MTV Europe presenter Steve Blame is also getting the big-screen treatment. Blame, who moderated MTV News from across Europe in the late 1980s and early '90s, is using his experiences as the basis for a film, titled "Take the Blame," which he is co-writing with British director Steve Hudson ("True North").'

Soundtrack Cologne 5.0
Steve Blame presented the highlight of SoundTrack_Cologne 5.0, the prize-giving ceremony on the 22nd November 2008. Prizes were given out for melodious TV music, for Rising Stars, and an honorary prize for a lifetime of achievment went to Peter Thomas (Orion Space Patrol). Other luminaries on stage included Helmut Zerlett and Ali Askin.

Baem Awards 2008
Steve Blame and Suzanne Bellenhaus presented the first BAEM AWARDS in Cologne in November 2008. The awards were voted for by the readers of PC Games and received more than 500,000 votes. Presenting the actual awards to the winners were such luminaries as Smudo from Fantastischen Vier, the girlband Monrose, TV presenter Nilz Bokelberg and Rapper Kool Savas.
